musicforvoyeurs began on morphine and crutches, when a nasty accident
left Rick unable to walk.
When he came out of hospital, he taught himself to play the piano
and found his old guitars, something to get him through a housebound London
winter.
Sleepless with pain, he found solace in the lost souls and lost hours
of a darkened world where no one sleeps, gazing in despair at religious
zealots begging to save you at four in the morning through the television
screen. musicforvoyeurs is melancholy and loss, a cruel bite on unrequited
love and the tragic despair of passion.
Imagine the ghostly spirit of Sparklehorse haunting Eluvium’s loops,
the Boards of Canada snorting mephedrone with The Cure, Magnet and The
Pet Shop Boys, My Bloody Valentine crying on the shoulder of Max Richter.
