English actress, movie producer and
philanthropist Kate Ajike yesterday
announced yet another string to her
bow – a debut single.
The star of Kidulthood, the hardhitting 2006
BBC Film, revealed plans to release
soon-to-be dance anthem ‘All I Want Is You’ on November 14.
Described as a “wonderful” mix between
commercial pop and old-school dance, the
3:48sec track has already won the hearts of
earlier this month.
It was produced by the acclaimed songwriter,
guitarist and producer Enrico Pinna, in what is
being dubbed one of the most exciting
partnerships of 2011.
Ajike is already a household name across the
UK, and in many countries worldwide. She hit
the British headlines in 2006 after appearing as
Carleen in Kidulthood, and won the nation’s
hearts the following year as the runner-up in
Miss Nigeria UK.
She founded the performance arts centre Kate
Academy – which helps children and young
people - and has also helped numerous
charitable organisations since her early teens.
But that wasn’t enough for the entrepreneurial
25-year-old, who this year launched her own
record label, Kate Angel Music.
